Chhau Dance Represents Jharkhand’s Glorious Cultural Identity: Sanjib Sardar

Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar inaugurated a grand Chhau dance programme at Tangarsai village under the Potka Panchayat area on Wednesday, drawing a massive crowd of villagers and folk art lovers. The MLA opened the event with traditional rituals and prayers.

Adorned in traditional costumes, the Chhau artists delivered vibrant performances that captivated the audience and kept spectators enthralled late into the night. The festival showcased Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage and folk traditions.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Sanjib Sardar stated that Chhau dance represents the glorious cultural identity of Jharkhand and plays a vital role in preserving the state’s traditional heritage. He remarked that these cultural events strengthen society’s connection to its traditions, folk arts, and values.

Praising the artists and organizers, Sardar noted that the Hemant Soren-led government continuously works to preserve and promote Jharkhand’s folk culture and traditional art forms. He also encouraged local youth to actively carry forward their cultural heritage.
