Art Exhibition concludes at Srinath University

Jamshedpur, July 9: School of Fine Arts of Srinath University, Adityapur that organised its 1st Annual Art Exhibition spread over two days, concluded on Sunday. The Art exhibition showcased diverse collections of art work created by the students of the Department of Fine Arts of Srinath University.  There were displays of paintings, captivating sculptures and exquisite pottery items on display at the exhibition that was organized in the University Auditorium. The visitors to the art exhibition included students, University faculty members, art enthusiasts and general citizens.

Anup Kumar Singh, Assistant Professor from the Fashion Designing Department of Arka Jain University, eminent artist Shubhendu Biswas, Mukta Gupta and Shubham Gorai were among the guests on the occasion.

Social worker Purabi Ghosh observed, “We are overwhelmed to see the artistic talent of the students of Fine Arts Department organized at Srinath University.  We are glad that today all of us are present here to see witness this grand exhibition. One cannot help but admire the students’ creative dedication and hard work behind the excellent displays.”

 Several art collectors purchased items on display at the exhibition. Pro-Chancellor of Srinath University, Gurudev Mahato stated, “This is a proud moment for our University as we are hosting our Firs Annual Art Exhibition. Visitors can expect to be immersed in a diverse tapestry of creativity as our students have put in their hard work and artistic skills to display such awe-inspiring creations.”

Nalin Chandra, Head of Department of Fine Arts, Ganesh Mahato, Assistant Professor and Neha Pandey, Assistant Professor from the Department of Fine Arts coordinated the art exhibition.

Ganesh Mahato, Assistant Professor, Department of Fine Arts, said that such exhibitions boosted the morale of the students and encouraged them to create something new.

Samarendra Ranjan from Baharagora College and Supriya Kumari from Chhattisgarh were present as judges in the exhibition. Suraj Patro, Priyanka Samantha and Sourav Pramanik were selected for the best paintings.  Somnath Pathak, Suraj Patro, Sarita Mahato and Saurabh Pramanik were selected as winners in the Best Sculpture segment.
