Promise Fulfilled After Years of Efforts by SCCI
A Day of Celebration for Jamshedpur–Rajasthan People: Moonka
Jamshedpur, May 6: Former president of the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Vijay Anand Moonka, expressed happiness and gratitude after the approval of a long-pending train service between Tatanagar and Jaipur.
Thanking Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Moonka said the demand had been raised by SCCI for several years. “I would like to thank the Rail Minister for accepting our long-standing request for a direct train from Tatanagar to Jaipur,” he said.
Moonka recalled that he had personally met the minister earlier, who had assured him that the service would be introduced within two years. “I am happy that he has fulfilled his promise,” he added.
He also acknowledged the efforts of various representatives and members of the chamber who worked consistently towards achieving this goal. “This is the result of collective efforts and continuous follow-up,” Moonka noted.
Highlighting the importance of the new service, Moonka said it would benefit people from Jamshedpur and the Kolhan region, especially those with connections to Rajasthan. “Today is a day of celebration for all of them,” he said.
He further described Rajasthan as a major centre for religious tourism and education, expressing hope that the new train would strengthen connectivity and promote travel between the two regions.
