Jamshedpur, May 6: Prakhar Sinha, a student from Tagore Academy was crowned the second state topper in ISC Science class 12 with 98.25 % marks.
The results were declared on Friday afternoon.
Like many other students, Prakhar wants to become an engineer and he scored scored 281 marks in the recently declared JEE Mains exam and he will now appear for JEE Advanced test on May 22. Prakhar did his engineering coaching from Narayana Academy in Sakchi, which he joined during initial stage of class 11.
“I joined Narayana in 2014 after my class 10 exam and did regular studies in the school, at the coaching institute and at home,” said Sinha, adding, “I am satisfied with the marks I have got and the next target is JEE Advanced and hope to clear it with flying colors and get admitted to one of the top IIT of the country.”
Resident of NML Flats in Agrico, Prakhar wants to take up computer science. Prakhar was the third national topper in the ICSE Class 10 examinations in 2014 when he scored 98.2 per cent marks.
Prakhar’s father Arvind Sinha is a scientist at NML, while Gunjan Sinha is a housewife. “My elder sister is working as a system engineer at TCS, Kolkata,” added Prakhar.
