Jamshedpur, May 6: Ashutosh Kumar of Narbheram Hansraj English School, Jamshedpur, topped in ISC science in Jharkhand with 98.50% marks.
Like many other brilliant students, Kumar wants to become a Mechanical engineer and before that he wants to clear the JEE Advanced exam scheduled on May 22 and get into one of the top IITs of the country.
Ashutosh lives with his grandparents in Dimna, Mango while his father Dilip Prasad is an L&T employee who is posted at Kota in Rajasthan.
Talking to The Avenue Mail over phone, Kumar said, ‘I expected to score around 97 % but being the state topper is a big surprise for me, I have worked very hard and study 10 to 12 hours a day but my main aim is to crack JEE Advanced and get into the top IIT’.
He writes very well and has won many prizes in inter school competitions, Kumar is an excellent debater and has won laurels for the school. He cleared the JEE Mains with 223 marks. School principal congratulated Ashutosh for putting up brilliant performance. His younger brother is studying at a school in Kota where his parents live.
