3 nabbed with loaded country pistol in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 30:  Police raided an apartment located near Jawaharnagar Road No. 14 under Mango police station and arrested three accused with a loaded country-made pistol.

The arrested accused include Shahnawaz Ansari, resident of Old Purulia Road KGN Colony, Shahzada alias Ali Raja and Mohd Atib Hasan, resident of Zakir Nagar.

 The police have recovered a loaded country-made pistol from the accused,  with six live bullets. In the same case, the police is conducting raids in search of absconding Sanju alias Sanjay Mukherjee.

 Giving information, DSP Headquarters 1 Virendra Ram said that the police had received a tip off that some anti-social elements with weapons live in the fourth floor of the newly constructed apartment of Ajwa Burj, near Mango.

After getting the information, the police team raided and caught all three, while one of their accomplices managed to escape. During the search, the police recovered a pistol from them. DSP Virendra Ram told that during the raid several pairs of shoes and slippers were recovered from his room. During enquiry, it was learned that these people used to steal the shoes and slippers of the people living in the flat. All were living on rent in the said flat for the last six months.

They were planning a robbery in Patmada. All were caught before the incident could be executed. Here, after the arrest of the accused, the Sakchi police had come to interrogate these accused in the firing case on B Dhananjay in Sakchi. Police suspect that the shots were fired in Sakchi also by the same accused.
