23 Jamshedpur rural youths get jobs in hospitality sector

Jamshedpur, April 5: As many as 23 rural youths of East Singhbhum were given offer-cum-appointment letters by various hotels and resorts of Gujarat and Jharkhand at Pace Hospitality Skill Centre, Mango, on Tuesday.

District development manager, NABARD, Sidharth Shankar, said the youths were given 45 days of quality training in the field of hospitality, food and beverage by NABARD and Tata Steel Foundation. Three of the trainees have been recruited by Hotel Ramada, Bistupur while nine of them have been picked by Ranchi-based Kaveri Restaurant. The remaining 11 trainees have been recruited by four hotels of Gujarat and Daman & Diu, officials said.

Shankar said 40 boys and girls from rural areas will soon be linked to employment after training in the field of hospitality. Besides, 25 rural youths would be trained on tailoring at industrial level.
