22 workers injured in collision of truck and auto-rickshaw near Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 31: As many as 22 daily workers were injured in a race between an auto-rickshaw and a mini truck near Urmal under Ichagarh police station area on Tuesday. The workers were sitting atop the truck which carried them to Tikar, a local village. Just then, an auto-rickshaw carrying passengers passed by the truck.

In a bid to overtake the three-wheeler, the truck driver sped up. The auto-rickshaw driver too, sped up. The truck however collided with the auto-rickshaw when the truck driver tried to avoid collision with a third vehicle coming from the front. Both vehicles overturned and the passengers of both vehicles were seriously injured, sources said.
