Jamshedpur, July 10: Sahastraghat Jalabhishek Puja of Baba Bholenath was performed at Sri-Sri Shiv Mandir at Sakchi Bazar for the second consecutive year on Tuesday, July 11, on the auspicious month of Sawan.

The puja was organized by Lalchand and Bablu Agarwal of Shiv Mandir Committee in memory of their father Late Vinod Kumar Agarwal.

Prayers to Lord Shiva commenced at 10 am on Tuesday, and Sahastraghat Jalabhishek was performed from 12.30 pm with sacred Ganges water brought from Sultanganj in water tankers.

Later in the evening Baba’s adornment and Mahaarti was held.

1,000 bottles filled with one liter of Ganga jal was distributed free of cost among the devotees.

Several devotees arrived at the temple with their own containers and bottles to collect the Ganga Jal.

Organisers informed that due to various reasons, devotees are unable to offer Ganga water to Lord Bhole Baba at Baidyanath Dham during the month of Sawan. Meanwhile devotees flocked Sakchi Shiv Mandir and performed Jalabhishek (ritualistic offering of water) to Lord Bhole Baba using Ganga water.
