Youth commits suicide by train at Tatanagar Station, police investigating

Jamshedpur: On Saturday morning, the body of a young man was discovered on railway track number seven near the parcel gate of Tatanagar station.

Upon receiving the information, a team from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) arrived at the scene, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.

The deceased has been identified as Shiv Shankar Kumar (34), employed as a contract laborer at MECON Limited Company. There are concerns that the young man might have taken his own life by jumping in front of a goods train.

Currently, the Railway Police has notified the family members about the incident, and further action will be taken upon their arrival. The deceased originally hailed from Vaishali, Bihar. Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, the in-charge of Tatanagar RPF post, stated that officials are on-site, and an investigation is underway.
