Yojana Banao Abhiyan to be made public movement: CM

Ranchi, Jan. 11: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday said that Yojana Banao Abhiyan has to be made the people’s movement.

The government will not tolerate any dereliction in it. In case of stagnation in the work, the government can condemn the employee. He said that Jharkhand should set a precedent for other states to be followed. He said it while directing the DCs through video conferencing at Project Building.

The CM has set a timeframe for this. The RDD has to inform all officers by 17th January as to who will go to which panchayat. The meeting has to be conducted from January 19 to 26 in panchayats in which Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, DCs, DDCs, officers of the district, people of Civil Society, educationists, office bearers of Chambers of Commerce, representatives of media and other people were present.

The panchayats where meeting could not take place will have to hold meeting from January 28 to February 4. After this, the suggestions will be included in the budget.

The CM said that the villagers have to make plan according to their necessity. Basic infrastructure, irrigation, school, health, electricity etc. will be considered under this. Maintenance of law and order should also be discussed and people should be made aware of it.

The CM affirmed that he will participate in the meeting of 5 panchayats. He said that MPs should participate in planning in one panchayat, ministers in 5 in the districts of their jurisdiction, MLAs in 20, DCs and other district officers in 5 and civil societies and chamber members in 2. He said that Chief Secretary, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries will also take part in the panchayats.

The CM asked the DCs about Yojana Banao Abhiyan through video conferencing. They reported to the CM that the related meeting has been taken. The CM also reviewed Indira Awaas Yojana and drought condition of the state. He directed to send utility certificate of scheme implementation related with drought in time.

Principal Secretary, Finance and Planning Amit Khare, Additional Chief Secretary N. N. Pandey, Principal Secretary, RDD N.N. Sinha, Principal Secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar and other officers were present on this occasion.
