XLRI Maxi Fair to Be Held in Jamshedpur on January 17–18; City to Groove to Mohit Chauhan’s Live Performance

Jamshedpur: The 46th edition of the XLRI Maxi Fair will be organized on January 17 and 18 at the XLRI campus. Hosted by the Marketing Association of XLRI (MAXI), the two-day mega event is expected to attract nearly 15,000 visitors from across the city.

The fair will feature a wide range of fun-filled competitions and activities aimed at encouraging creativity and talent among children, youth, and adults alike. Key attractions include Guess the Artist, Art Attack, and engaging contests such as Mr. and Miss Jamshedpur, which will test participants’ beauty, brains, confidence, and personality. Dance lovers can showcase their skills in Dance Mania, while food enthusiasts can compete in MasterChef Jamshedpur to win hearts with their culinary talent.

In addition to fashion shows, dance performances, and children’s events, several competitions will be open to all age groups. Amidst the numerous food and marketing stalls, a specially designed Selfie Corner will be a major attraction for visitors.

Mohit Chauhan to Perform Live on January 18

The highlight of the Maxi Fair will be a live musical evening by renowned playback singer Mohit Chauhan. He will perform on January 18 from 7:00 PM at the XLRI Football Ground, promising a soulful and energetic experience that will have the entire city swaying to his tunes.

Platform to Solve Real Business Problems

A unique feature of the Maxi Fair is its strong industry-academia collaboration. Representatives from several leading Indian companies will participate by presenting their real-world business challenges. XLRI students will conduct live market research through interactive games and activities involving city residents. The insights gathered will later be analyzed and presented to the companies as structured research solutions.

In the past, business challenges from major brands such as Pepsico, Richardson Hindustan, Herbal, Vicks, and Nestlé have been addressed through the Maxi Fair.

The Maxi Fair has been held continuously since 1979. It was first conceptualized by former XLRI professor Sharad Sharin. Over the two days, several artists from across the country will also visit the XLRI campus to entertain the people of Jamshedpur.
