Gamharia, August 12: A three-day workshop on gender budgeting commenced Monday at XITE Gamharia, attracting participants from various sectors including government teachers, village heads, volunteers, and women from self-help groups in the Gamharia block. Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Tax Aparna Singh, Principal Father Francis, and SEEDS Chief Executive Dr. Shubhra Dwivedi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp.
The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge to implement gender budgeting in their respective fields. Students’ insights offered valuable perspectives on promoting gender equality and inclusive development.
The diverse group of attendees highlighted the importance of such training in advancing gender equality across different sectors. Notable presenters included Prof. Dr. Sanchita Ghosh Chaudhary, Prof. Akinchhan Xaxa, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Rana, and others.
