Writers play a vital role in shaping society: Saryu

Jamshedpur: A felicitation programme was organized at People�s Academy School in Baradwari on Sunday under the aegis of Sahitya Sarovar Manch. State food minister Saryu Roy was honoured on the occasion. He was presented a shawl and a memoir on the various activities of the organization.
Roy handed over a memento to the outfit patron Manojeet Das Gupta for his active participation in literary activities and cultural conservation efforts.
In his address, Roy said Sahitya Sarovar Manch had contributed to the society through its literary activities. He said writers played a vital role in shaping the future of society. He appealed to them to discharge their social duty through their creations.
Among those present on the occasion included Surya Prakash Singh, Chandradeep Pandey, Kripasagar Keshav, Amit Ranjan, Rajnish Rajni, Ranjan Bhuiyan and Pratap Narayan.
