Jamshedpur: Gurunanak High School students took out a rally to propagate the message of Road Safety Week being conducted in the city.
The rally was flagged off by school principal Surinder Kaur. The students in the rally passed through Shahid Chowk roundabout, mini bus stand, Graduate College and Kerala Samajam Model School before returning to the starting point in their school.
Prior to the rally, the students of Guru Nanak High School were briefed on traffic rules which if followed, would yield positive results. They were also informed that most deaths occurred due to road accidents rather than illness.
They were told that if traffic norms were adhered to, thousands of precious lives could be saved.
The rally was coordinated by Ranjit Kaur, Ravinder Kaur, Suman Kumari, Kusum Kumari and Kulvinder Singh.
