Jamshedpur, September 13: Brahmananda Narayana Hospital observed World Sepsis Day with an awareness program focused on educating the public and healthcare professionals about sepsis, a serious and potentially life-threatening condition. The event aimed to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to prevent sepsis-related fatalities.

The hospital organized a series of events throughout the day, including health screenings and expert-led talks addressing the symptoms, prevention, and treatment of sepsis. Facility Director Vinit Raj, Clinical Director Dr. M.L. Ali, Medical Superintendent Dr. Mukesh Kumar, and Critical Care Specialist Dr. Sunil Kedia were present at the event.

“Sepsis remains a leading cause of death globally and is often overlooked. Early recognition is crucial for saving lives, and we are dedicated to enhancing public awareness and improving healthcare responses,” said Dr. Sunil Kedia.

The hospital also showcased its commitment to tackling sepsis through advanced medical technology and staff training. The ICU team presented new protocols aimed at quickly identifying and treating patients at risk of sepsis.

In accordance with this year’s theme, ‘Save Lives, Stop Suffering,’ the hospital encouraged everyone to recognize the symptoms of sepsis—fever, rapid heart rate, confusion, and difficulty in breathing—and seek immediate medical attention if sepsis was suspected.
