Jamshedpur, September 13: RVS Academy, Mango, conducted an informative and engaging session on ‘Personal Hygiene and Understanding Good Touch & Bad Touch’ for the girl students of standard 5 to 7 on September 13. The purpose of the session was to educate and empower young girls to take charge of their health and safety.
The session was conducted by Dr Sushma Rani, a gynecologist and expert in child health and safety. The focus was on the importance of personal hygiene and provided guidance on recognizing and responding to inappropriate behavior. The key objectives of the session included educating students on the importance of maintaining good hygiene for physical and mental well-being, empowering young girls to identify the difference between good and bad touch and encouraging them to speak up and seek help from trusted adults if they encountered uncomfortable situations. The program was a part of the school’s ongoing efforts to promote a safe, supportive and health-conscious environment for its students.
School Chairman Binda Singh, in his message said that it was crucial for schools to address issues of health and safety from a young age. Empowering young girls with knowledge was the first step towards protecting their rights and equipping them with the tools to recognize and respond to any risks to their well-being.
The Principal, Veesha Mohindra also expressed her views on the issue and stated that RVS Academy believed in fostering a learning environment where students not only excelled academically but also grew with confidence and self-awareness. “This session will help our girls to understand how to safeguard their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring that they feel empowered to take care of themselves,” she stated.
