Jamshedpur, Dec 4: World Disability Day is observed on the 3rd of December every year to encourage a better understanding of people affected by a disability.
On the occasion Urban Services, Tata Steel organised a sports-cum-cultural programme for special children at Tata Steel Security Training Centre Ground, Jamshedpur.
The day witnessed many fun, sporting and cultural events where nearly 450 special children in different age groups from 8 different NGOs across Jamshedpur participated. Shubhenjit Chaudhuri, Chief Corporate Sustainability, Tata Steel, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The objective of the programme was to engage these children in sports-cum-cultural activities and help instill in them motivation and confidence.
The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and cultural performances presented by the special children.
