Jamshedpur, April 26: In a gesture of appreciation, the Jamshedpur Abhibhawak Sangh bestowed honors upon Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Parul Singh, alongside the Dhalbhum Education Superintendent and District Education Officer, for their pivotal role in facilitating the re-examination of failed students.

The recognition comes in the wake of a recent incident where approximately 2000 students from classes 9th and 11th in private schools faced failure. Perturbed by this development, parents fervently petitioned both the school administrations and the relevant authorities, including the SDO and the education department.

The parents’ primary plea was not for automatic promotion but rather for an opportunity for their children to undergo re-testing, recognizing the significance of their academic futures. While some schools initially hesitated, succumbing to parental pressure, others persisted in their stance.

However, under mounting pressure from both the Education Department and the vigilant efforts of the SDO, the decision was made to conduct re-tests for the affected students. Consequently, several schools acceded to this directive.

In acknowledgment of the SDO’s proactive intervention, members of the Jamshedpur Parents Association expressed their gratitude by presenting a bouquet to Dhalbhum SDO Parul Singh. They underscored that without the timely attention and action from the SDO, 2000 school children would have faced the prospect of repeating their classes.
