Two arrested for firing in demand for beer money in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 26: Two persons have been apprehended by the police for firing in Ramnagar under Ulidih OP area of Mango. The arrested were identified as Vivek Tiwari from Subhash Colony and Akash Giri from Laxman Nagar.

The police recovered a country-made pistol, two live bullets, and a magazine, along with the motorcycle used during the incident. City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat informed that on April 5, the suspects had attempted to extort the price of beer from a local shopkeeper, Baidhnath Kumar Sahu.

The firing occurred at Baidhnath’s shop after he refused to comply with their demands. Anees Rajak was previously remanded to jail on April 8 in connection with this case. The two additional suspects were rounded up on Friday and sent to jail.
