Jamshedpur, Feb 4: A 35 year-old man, identified as Ranjeet Gupta, fell to death from the fifth floor of an under-construction Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) building in Birsanagar on Friday. He sustained critical injuries after the fall and was taken to Tata Main Hospital where he died after sometime. His body was sent to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination. His family members reached the city from Daltonganj and lodged a complaint against the building contractor with the Birsanagar police. They alleged that the contractor had not provided any safety equipments such as harness to Ranjeet. Ranjeet’s brother was also working at the same site.
