Worker critically burnt in Gamharia plant

Jamshedpur, July 15: A worker, identified as Chandramouli Mahali, was critically burnt during work in an industrial plant at Gamharia on Friday. He was taken to Gamharia Community Health Centre (CHC) and later referred to MGM Hospital where his condition was reportedly touch-and-go.

Sources said the incidentoccurred when molten iron was being poured into a large cauldron. While running away from the site as a practice to avoid the extreme heat, Mahali fell on the floor and sustained burn injuries. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, sources said.
