Ranchi, June 2: As the Lok Sabha elections 2024 wrapped up peacefully on Saturday, exit polls flooded various TV channels predicting a triumphant return for the NDA. However, opposition voices swiftly contested these projections. Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren joined the chorus, dismissing the exit polls as inaccurate.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Soren refuted the exit poll numbers, asserting, “The projections showcased on TV channels are flawed. We’ve meticulously analyzed all states, and our estimations suggest we’re on course to secure 295 seats. In Jharkhand specifically, we anticipate clinching over 10 additional seats.”
Soren further urged party workers and candidates to remain vigilant. “I urge all candidates and party workers to disregard the exit polls and stay alert until the vote counting concludes on June 4,” he emphasized.
In contrast, BJP’s state general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu projected a sweeping victory for the NDA alliance in Jharkhand. “We are confident of securing all 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. The All India Alliance will fail to secure a single seat, facing a total shutout,” Sahu asserted, also claiming victory in the Gandey by-election.
