Warm farewell given to class XII students of DAV NIT

Jamshedpur: The students of DAV Public School, NIT, Adityapur, bid a farewell to their seniors on Saturday.

A function was organised on the school premises. All junior and senior students had great fun together. The seniors received a warm welcome by the juniors as they entered the campus wearing elegant attire.

It was a morning of mixed emotions for all present at the school ground. The day was dedicated to the time spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.
It was a beautiful morning as the outgoing students were dressed in their finery. The young girls glowed in colourful saris whereas boys carried themselves smartly in suits. Everyone took this opportunity to get themselves clicked.

The programme began with the outgoing students performing hawana with their class teachers Leena Pandey, Rajkumar Acharya and Lokesh Rao under the guidance of Dharam Prakash Shastri.
The juniors then sang two farewell songs, one captivating dance performance and a drama for the seniors which created an ambience full of emotions.

The day was made memorable with the flashback memories that were shared by Sanskriti and Harshit Kumar who created emotional moment for all present there. From the parents� end, Jai Prakash Maurya and Satya Prakash blessed the outgoing students for the forthcoming Board examination and their future endeavours.

Later, the senior students were given DAV momentos. Seven students were given with Student of the Year Award from Science and Commerce, CCA and Sports faculty.

Speaking on the occasion the Principal and Assistant Regional Officer of DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone, blessed the outgoing students for the Board exam and asked them to do their best and face future challenges of life with confidence. He further added that it is important to be a good person in life for everyone and make one’s presence felt in every field of activity one undertakes.

A vote of thanks was proposed by the supervisory head of the school, B S Choudhary. It was followed by a lunch.
