Jamshedpur: DAV Public School, Bistupur, bid a heart-touching farewell to the outgoing batch of 2018-19 with great enthusiasm. The evening was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminiscence joyous moments. The programme commenced with Vedic Hawan. DAV Anthem and lightning of the ceremonial lamp was followed by a mesmerizing welcome dance by the students of Class XI. The programme further proceeded with the `Ashirwachan’ delivered by Reeta Banerjee who wished them good luck to make a mark in the world outside.
On this momentous occasion, the students of Class XII were presented memento as a token of love by their respective class teachers. The students of Class XI put forth a mix of scintillating fusion dance performances, melodious songs and pulsating music that rocked the entire school premises. The ceremonial zeal reached the peak in the questionnaire round and video projection of memories.
Hereafter, the students were addressed by the Principal, Pragya Singh who applauded the efforts of the students and also expressed her hope that the students will learn from their mistakes, take responsibilities for their actions and lead a happy life.
The highlight of the function was the conferring of the titles on the students. Master Kartik Singh of Class XII CI was awarded for 100% attendance and Master Asparsh Mishra of Class XII A4 was awarded Best Sportsperson. Title of Best Scholar, Science was conferred on Master Harshit Agarwal of XII A3, Best Scholar, Bio Science was awarded to Master Bhruti Ucchawasheti, whereas Miss Shivani Tiwary of Class XII CI was declared the Best Scholar, Commerce.
Title of Master DAV & Miss DAV was won by Master Jyotiraditya of XII AI and Miss Sejal Dubey of XII C I respectively. Master Yash Prasad of XII C II and Miss Arya Anandita of XII A6 were adjudged as Master and Miss DAV Runner-Up, 2018-19 respectively.
After the programme, everyone assembled for the dinner. The students were capturing memories of school with their friends, juniors and favourite teachers.
Thus, the batch 2018 was bid adieu by the school.
