Jamshedpur: A delegation of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit, met East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar on Tuesday and expressed concern over the recent developments in Golmuri involving certain Hindu activists.
Leading the delegation, Avtar Singh Gandhi, president of Jamshedpur Mahanagar unit, condemned the alleged fatal assault on Hindu activists by a section of minority community members in Golmuri. He alleged that the district administration took biased action against the Hindu activists on the basis of complaint lodged by the minority community members.
The VHP leaders handed a memorandum to the DC and demanded action against those guilty. They said the DC should order a fair probe into the incident and ensure exemplary action against those responsible for the assault.
Hindus are deeply hurt and astonished. The district administration should tell them whether Golmuri is in India or in Pakistan. It should also issue a guideline or advisory on the type of food, clothes, music and behaviour for Hindus, said Sanjay, state publicity chief, VHP.
Among others present on the occasion included Suman Agrawal, Sanjay Chourasia, Janardan Pandey, Purushottam Shastri, Anirudh Giri, Santosh verma and Subhash Chatterjee.
