Veer Bal Diwas celebrated with grand procession in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: A grand procession was organized at the Refugee Colony Gurudwara to mark Veer Bal Diwas, which commemorates the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family. The event, held under the auspices of the Gurudwara Refugee Colony, honored the sacrifices of Baba Fateh Singh Ji and Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, who gave their lives for the Sikh faith. The procession, which passed through the Refugee Colony area, was led by Gurpreet Singh Raju, President of the Refugee Colony Gurudwara Managing Committee, and Sardar Bhagwan Singh, President of the Central Gurudwara Managing Committee.

The event saw the participation of several notable leaders, including Kulwant Singh Bunty, Jharkhand BJP State Working Committee member and co-convenor of Veer Bal Diwas, Harjeet Singh Chintu, co-convenor of Jamshedpur Metropolitan BJP, and senior BJP leader Satbir Singh Somu. Bunty, in his address, recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on January 9, 2022, declared December 26 as Veer Bal Diwas, a day to honor the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family.

Prominent figures present at the event included Gurpreet Singh Raju, Harminder Singh, Sharan Pal Singh, Harbhajan Kaur Ji, Anju Gambhir, Balwinder Singh, and several others who played significant roles in organizing the event. The procession was a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and martyrdom of the Sikh heroes, reaffirming the community’s commitment to remembering their legacy.
