Jamshedpur, Dec 6: Valley View School organised a blood donation drive that received an encouraging response from students, staff and visitors. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Manoj Kumar, DSP Jamshedpur, who commended the school for hosting such socially responsible initiatives. He highlighted the importance of organising blood donation camps in educational institutions to instil compassion and civic awareness among young learners.
Manoj Kumar also led by example, becoming one of the first donors of the day. From the school staff, teachers Binod Kumar and Sumit Kumar were the earliest contributors, while Soumili Kar Roy of Class 12 became the first student donor. By the end of the day, the school successfully collected 51 units of blood, marking the event as a significant humanitarian effort.
