Late goal seals defeat for Jamshedpur FC U14 against FC Mangalore

Jamshedpur, May 4: Jamshedpur FC U14 suffered a setback in their second match of the AIFF Sub-Junior League Final Round, going down 4-2 against Football Club Mangalore in a closely fought encounter.

The match began on a difficult note for Jamshedpur FC, with an unfortunate own goal in the 20th minute handing FC Mangalore the lead. The opposition capitalised on the momentum, adding two more goals within the first 40 minutes to establish a commanding three-goal advantage.

Despite the deficit, Jamshedpur FC showed strong character and determination to fight back into the contest. Kartik Marandi led the response with a well-taken brace, scoring just before halftime in the 40th minute and again in the 68th minute to reduce the margin and revive hopes of a comeback.

However, as Jamshedpur FC pushed forward in search of an equaliser, FC Mangalore sealed the result with a fourth goal in added time of the second half, putting the game beyond reach.

Jamshedpur FC U14 will now turn their attention to their final group stage fixture against Football 4 Change Academy on May 6th, where they will aim to finish their campaign on a positive note.
