Jamshedpur, May 4: The third day of the East Singhbhum District Inter-School Table Tennis Championship-2026, organized by the East Singhbhum District Table Tennis Association at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, witnessed exciting matches and key results across categories.
In the Under-11 Girls’ category, Divisha Sinha of DAV Public School, Bistupur, emerged as the champion after winning all her league matches. Aarohi Singh of Vivek Vidyalaya finished as the runner-up, while Meera Gandhi of Loyola School and Aarohi Kumari of Vivek Vidyalaya shared the third position.
In the Under-17 Girls’ category, the quarter-finals produced impressive performances, confirming the semifinal lineup. Drishya Singh of Jusco School, Kadma, defeated Eha Chaudhary of Sacred Heart Convent 3-0 in straight sets. Anshika Mahajan of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya also registered a convincing 3-0 win against Adya Shree Rathore of Kerala Public School, Kadma. The most competitive match saw Ananya Saha of DAV Public School, Bistupur, edge past Nandita Dey of Jusco School, Kadma, in a closely fought 3-2 contest. Parleen Bhamra of Kerala Public School, Kadma, secured her semifinal berth with a 3-0 victory over Smriti Sinha of SDSM, Sidgora.
Meanwhile, in the Under-11 Boys’ category, 14 participants competed in group stages, with four players advancing to the semifinals. Poumip Chatterjee of Gulmohar School will face Rudra Bhattacharya of Loyola, while Aryan Gandhi of Loyola, Bistupur, will take on Vedansh Vashishth of JPS, Baridih.
The semifinals will be held on May 5, and the tournament will conclude on May 6.
