Ulidih thana OC transferred for failure to solve Jamshedpur bomb explosion case

Jamshedpur, Dec 26: Ulidih police station officer-in-charge was transferred  on Friday after  directive of East Singhbhum SSP M. Tamilvanan for failure to arrest culprits involved in the explosion while making crude bombs at an electronic shop based in a house owned by Pashupati Kumbhkar at Upari Tola in Dimna Basti under the same thana area.

The erstwhile Ulidih police station officer-in-charge Dhananjay Baitha has been transferred in the same capacity to Golmuri thana. Azadnagar thana sub-inspector Meghnath Mandal has been deputed at Uiidih thana as in-charge.

The SSP has also made sub inspector Jamie Sudha Tigga as Sakchi Mahila thana in-charge while Rukmini Kumari as in-charge of Ghatshila thana.

However, so far no new officer has been deployed at Bistupur and Parsudih. Both the thana-OCs of Bistupur and Parsudih had to face music for dereliction of duty and have been sent to police barracks.

Significantly, in the freak bomb explosion at Dimna Basti, three persons Bhubaneshwar Kumbhkar, Nakul and Vishwanath were critically injured and were admitted at Tata Main Hospital on Saturday where Vishwanath died during treatment the same day  and on Tuesday Bhubaneshwar Kumbhkhar also succumbed to his injuries.

Cases were lodged under Explosives Act against the three persons, however, it is being believed that a criminal gang had hired these youths for making bombs. However, no arresting has been done in the case so far.
