Jamshedpur, Dec 26: An assistant sub inspector (ASI) in Railway Police Special Force, P Hujang deputed at Tatanagar railway station was found in a critical condition at around 6 am on Friday near the station premises.
Soon after information the injured ASI was rushed to the nearby Railway Hospital.
Sources in the railway police informed that P Hujung, a native of Meghalaya had been transferred to Tatanagar railway station two months back and was staying in Burmamines barrack and on Thursday he was in duty between 4 pm and 12 pm night. After duty hours, P Hujung as usual walked home to Burmamines barrack. However, he did not reach the barrack at night. On searching by his friends he was found in a serious condition near the gate going towards Burmamines. Locals informed that since the injured was in a critical condition they rushed him to the nearest Railway hospital from where he was referred to Tata Motors and Tata Main Hospital for better treatment due to his poor condition.
It is being believed that he might have been dashed by a big vehicle.
