TWU election preparations on last leg

Jamshedpur: Countdown of Tata Workers Union(TWU) began with visits of high-ranking administrative officials in the company.

To take stock of the preparations of the election deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal, SSP AV Homekar, SDO Prem Ranjan and ADC Sunil Kumar visited Tata Steel company premises today.

The officials inspected the surrounds and the booths where polls would be held and took stock of the preparations.

The SSP on the occasion said that adequate security personnel would be deployed at the booths and in the company premises to ensure and peaceful, free and fare election.

It may be mentioned here that votes would be cast from 8 am to 1 pm on March 9. Tentatively the results would be announced late in the evening on the same day.

Meanwhile campaign pitch got louder with contestants reaching out to the voters. The Raghunath Pandey, Bhagwan Singh and PN Singh factions are claiming victory in the election.
