Two suspected minorities sent to quarantine centre in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: City police have detained two suspected minorities in a massive coronavirus checking drive at Bistupur area. Those nabbed have been sent them for quarantine centre for thorough medical checkup during nationwide lockdown to curb spread of the coronavirus.

�During the drive, we found them suspected of carrying the virus. As a precautionary measure we have decided to send them to quarantine centres for further investigation,� said an official. He said they will also probe whether they had attended Tablighi meet or not.  

Jharkhand Police have detained two (2) suspected Muslim persons in a massive checking and sent them for quarantine centre for through medical checkup during nationwide lockdown to curb spread of the coronavirus at Bistupur area inside Jamshedpur steel city under East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the 11 foreign religious missionaries who were caught from a religious place at Tamar on March 24 and subsequently shifted to Mosabani Constable Training Centre in Jadugora have been sent to Ghatshila sub-jail in Dhalbhumgarh in Ghatshila sub-division on Saturday. The foreigners who were caught from inside a mosque at Tamar were arrested for violating the visa rule and also lockdown implemented in view of breaking the chain of coronavirus.

The district administration has also appealed to the minorities in the city to strictly obey curfew restrictions and adhere to social distancing norms. An official said that the minorities in neighbourhoods should strictly obey the curfew restrictions, adhere to social distancing norms and approach hospitals if symptoms were noticed and follow quarantine rules.
