Two arrested in Kadma’s Binapani nursing home owner’s house Rs 25 lakh loot case

Jamshedpur, Oct 13: In a brazen and meticulously planned robbery, armed criminals struck the residence of nursing home owner Dilip Das in Kadma, Ramnagar Road No-2, on Friday evening, holding him and his son, Dipraj Das, hostage for nearly two hours.

The gang made away with gold and silver jewelry valued at alaround  Rs 25 lakh, police said.

Two suspects have already been taken into custody as the investigation intensifies.

How the Robbery Unfolded

According to police sources, the incident occurred between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The gang, comprising seven to eight armed men, first incapacitated three guard dogs by administering a sedative, before entering the house under the threat of firearms.

Once inside, the criminals forced Dilip Das and his son to remain under their control while they ransacked every corner of the residence.

Items Stolen

* Two gold chains worth  Rs 6 lakh

* Two gold bracelets worth  Rs 7 lakh

* Seven rings valued at  Rs 2 lakh

* A gold necklace worth  Rs 8 lakh

* Jewellery offerings from religious idols worth  Rs 2 lakh

The criminals also fled with the CCTV DVR and the keys of the family car, intending to erase any evidence of their identity.

Details of the Robbers’ Appearance

The main suspect: dark-skinned, obese, wearing a black cap

Second suspect: dark-skinned, lean

Third: dusky complexion, wearing a white cap

Fourth: fair-skinned, slim, in a black T-shirt

Fifth: fair-skinned, speaking Bhojpuri, with an ochre-colored scarf, carrying a knife

The gang reportedly communicated in Bengali and warned the family not to alert the police, threatening to kill them if they did.

Police Investigation Underway

Kadma police station has registered a case and launched a full-scale investigation.

CCTV footage from nearby areas is being scrutinized to identify and apprehend the remaining suspects.

Meanwhile, the affected family continues to live under fear following the traumatic ordeal.

JD(U) delegation visits nursing home owner who fell victim of  daring robbery

Jamshedpur, Oct 13: A delegation from the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U) today met Dilip Das, the owner of  Kadma-based Binapani Nursing Home, who recently fell victim to a shocking robbery at his residence.

The visit was undertaken under the directive of Jamshedpur West MLA, Saryu Roy, who expressed deep concern over the incident.

On Monday, JD(U) representatives—including Tarak Mukherjee, Manoj Singh, Sheshnath Pathak, Sapan Das, Madhav Singh, and Dinesh Singh—visited Das’s home in Ramnagar Road No. 2, Kadma, to assess the situation and extend their support to the victim and his family.

Dilip Das informed the delegation that armed criminals had forcibly entered his home, brandishing a pistol, and held him and his son hostage.

The assailants stole valuables worth approximately  Rs 25 lakh, including gold jewelry, a DVR system, and car keys.

Following the visit, Tarak Mukherjee also spoke with the Kadma police station in-charge, who assured that stringent efforts were underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

This incident has sparked widespread concern among the local community, highlighting the growing need for enhanced security measures in residential areas.
