Jamshedpur, Aug 8: A major accident was averted today morning when a 407 mini truck laden with mineral water coming from the Tinplate end overturned while trying to negotiate the Baridih roundabout. The truck, moving at high speed could have accounted for a severe mishap as several school children await their conveyance there. Eyewitnesses said that just moments before the truck capsized a few bikers had passed that way.
The police arrived on the spot immediately. The driver and the handyman received minor injuries. The police sent them to a nearby nursing home for treatment. The driver told police that the truck�s brake had failed leading to the mishap. He said that the brake was functioning when he left Tinplate but it failed during negotiating the Baridih roundabout.
