Jamshedpur, Aug 8: Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha executive president Hemant Soren Thursday said the condition of Adivasis was fast deteriorating in Jharkhand under the very nose of Raghubar Das government.
He said the BJP regime was conspiring to deprive the Adivasis of their culture, traditions and land.
Soren was speaking to scribes at Circuit House on his arrival in the city to participate in a meeting organized in Uliyan, Kadma, to pay homage to the former JMM leader and its founder late Nirmal Mahato.

Soren said a great wave of panic had spread among thousands of workers of Kolhan and other parts of the state due to closure of many industrial units. Due to retrenchment and block closures, thousands of families are on the verge of penury despite the presence of double-engine BJP government in Centre and in the state. All this is taking a toll on the economic condition of the region and its people. Corruption rules the roost today. This is happening due to the anti-poor and pro-capitalist policies of the Central and state governments. There is no one to mend the loopholes and improve the situation. This is why youths and farmers are hopeless. Cases of suicide and family distress are on the rise, he said.
Asked about possibilities of JMM entering into an alliance with Congress or other regional parties for the Assembly polls, Soren said nothing had been decided yet. He however claimed that the next government would be formed by the JMM.
This is politics and a great many things are possible here. Our main goal is to defeat the BJP. BJPs victory in the Lok Sabha polls is no benchmark for future polls. The people will deliver their verdict against the oppressive rule of BJP and elect JMM again, said the former CM.
