Mithila High School gets sanitary pad vending machine

Jamshedpur, Aug 8: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West inaugurated sanitary pad vending machine at government run Mithila High School in Sonari on Tuesday.

“Aimed at providing comfort to girl students and promoting hygienic practices, the coin-operated vending machines would dispense sanitary napkins at every Rs 5 coin”, said the President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West Shweta Chand. 

The vending machine has been installed in the school staff room of the school building. Rotarian Maya Sahay inaugurated the sanitary napkin vending machine at the school in Sonari and said this would help girls and teachers in maintaining their health and hygiene. Club Secretary Nibha Mishra insisted on the well-being, hygiene and menstrual health of the girl students. She also requested the teachers to think of additional facility of incinerator machine to hygienically dispose of the used napkins.
