Tributes paid to Suresh Chandra Dey

Jamshedpur: Steel city paid rich tributes to Suresh Chandra Dey, freedom fighter and founder of Sreeleathers, on his 108th birth anniversary on Sunday, April 21.

During a programme organised at Sakchi market situated showroom, Sreeleathers family and employees remembered the founder who laid foundation of footwear and leather product manufacturer in the year 1952.

Family members of late Ashish Dey, the showroom owner pledged to walk on the path laid down by the founder.

Suresh Chandra Dey, a visionary leader was born on April 21, 1911. Dey brewed up a unique way of serving his motherland. He felt the need for generation of capital growth and employment within his country as the best way to serve the nation.

A patriot and a great revolutionary, Suresh Chandra Dey, was a trusted disciple of Surya Sen, a protagonist of the Chhattogram armoury plunder.
