Jamshedpur, Feb 2: On the occasion of the 71st birth anniversary of the late Ashish Dey, the youngest son of Sreeleathers’ founders Suresh Chandra Dey and Kiranmoyee Dey, a memorial event was organized on Friday at the newly constructed auditorium in Bistupur, the Sreeleathers Showroom. Senior social worker and Sreeleathers partner, Shekhar Day, illuminated a lamp in remembrance of Ashish, paying heartfelt homage.
Present at the event were Surajit Chattopadhyay, Bimal Chakraborty, Shyamal Sheel, Paresh Nandi, Preetilekha Roy, and Govinda Ravji, members and employees of the Sreeleathers family, who also offered floral tributes at the portrait of the late Ashish Dey. Shekhar Day, remembering his younger brother, stated that Ashish never a coward and embraced death against injustice without bending his knees. “Ashish not only remained a hero in death but also brought pride to his parents. His progressive thinking extended beyond the family business, and he aspired to diversify and expand his ventures. Though Ashish is not physically present among us today, his fearlessness and courage continue to guide us.”
Tribute to Ashish Day, the pillar of valor and bravery, was also paid by Surajit Chattopadhyay, Bimal Chakraborty, Shyamal Shil, Paresh Nandi, and Preetilekha Roy. The vote of thanks was extended by Govinda Ravji.
