Jamshedpur, Nov. 30: Dr Sunil Kumar, Head, Consultant Surgery, Tata Main Hospital (TMH), Jamshedpur has been elected to the prestigious Council of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh UK for a period of 5 years from 2016 to 2021.
He is the only Indian to be in the Council of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in more than 500 years history of the Royal College.
Dr Sunil Kumar was formally elected as council member on 18th November, 2016 in Edinburgh along with fellow council members in Edinburgh.
The council is the highest decision making body of the Royal college and is involved in international surgical teaching and training, surgical policy making and provides leadership in all surgical activities.
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has 25000 members and fellows all across the globe.
