National Doctor’s Day Celebrated at Tata Main Hospital
Jamshedpur, July 1: Tata Steel marked the occasion of National Doctor’s Day with a heartfelt celebration at Tata Main Hospital (TMH), honouring the dedication and service of its medical fraternity. The event brought together senior leaders, doctors, and hospital staff for an engaging and inspiring program.
Dr. Vinita Singh, General Manager Medical Services (GMMS) outlined the achievements and key milestones by TMH. The occasion was graced by D. B. Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel and Sanjeev Kumar Choudhary, President of the Tata Workers’ Union, who delivered the keynote address to the gathering.

In a significant development, Ramam also inaugurated the newly established Radiology Reporting Station and Radiology Clinic at Tata Main Hospital. These new facilities are aimed at enhancing diagnostic capabilities, improving turnaround time for reports, and offering patients more efficient and advanced care. This step reflects Tata Steel’s ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and services in the region.
National Doctor’s Day, celebrated across India on July 1st every year, honours the contributions of medical professionals and commemorates the birth anniversary of the legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. This year’s theme, “Behind the Mask: Caring for Caregivers,” underscores the pivotal role doctors play in sustaining the health and well-being of the community.
