Garhwa: An incident of a bus driver going from Garhwa to Ranchi suffering a heart attack has come to light.
The driver’s name is Virendra Pandey. According to the information, he was traveling from Garhwa to Ranchi and his health deteriorated about half an hour after leaving the bus stand.
At that time the speed of the bus was about 80 km / h, and it was crossing the bridge of Tahle river. The driver suddenly felt pain in his chest and he fell down while driving the bus. There were about 50-60 passengers in the bus at that time.
After the driver fell, the passengers together gave him CPR and saved his life. After this, he was admitted to the hospital in Medininagar. After the incident, the passengers were sent to Ranchi by another bus.
It is being told that the bus left from Ranka More of Garhwa at 9:10 am and the driver suddenly got a heart attack near the bridge of Tahle river, about 13 km from the bus stand. The driver somehow crossed the bridge within five to ten seconds and then fainted.
Seeing this situation, the passengers in the bus panicked. Manish Tiwari, a resident of Jhura village of Garhwa block, said that after the driver fainted, he immediately contacted Dr Nishant Singh of Garhwa. On the instructions of the doctor, the passengers started giving mouth-to-mouth breathing as well as chest CPR to the driver.
Dr. Sachin, a doctor at Aryan Super Specialty Hospital, said that the driver had a heart attack, but his life was saved due to the timely CPR done by the passengers.
