Jamshedpur: A major theft incident has come to light on Sunday in Navrang Mohalla of Sonari police station area. Sonia Verma, who lives in the locality, had gone to Chhattisgarh with her family on September 8 for court work. During this time, she had locked the house. When the family returned home, they saw that the lock was broken and jewelry and valuables worth about Rs 15 lakh were stolen from inside. Incident before Pinddaan and family function.
The family had to go to Gaya today to perform Pinddaan, but the theft incident came to light as soon as they returned home. Apart from this, a family function was to be held at home on September 12, for which preparations were going on.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Sonari police station reached the spot and started the investigation.
