Jamshedpur, August 22:  The seven-day long Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagna organized at Satyanarayan Marwari Mandir concluded on Monday with the narration of the friendship between Lord Sri Krishna and Sudama. Narrator, Himanshu Maharaj of Mathura enthralled the devotees with his reading and elucidating the immortal story of genuine friendship between Sri Krishna and Sudama. “The classic story of friendship between Lord Sri Krishna and Sudama was bereft of any class or creed distinction and that made their bond all the more strong. Their status of a king and a commoner never came in the way of their eternal bond. Today, in this Kaliyug, we should take lessons from this outstanding friendship. Friendship plays a vital and important role in human life. We should go to the root and understand that God does not make any distinction between a king and a commoner, rich and poor. Both are God’s children,” explained Himanshu Maharaj in the course of his discourse that included his description on the glory of religion, truth and Kali Yug.

Maharaj went on to explain, “Sudama, the child of God, was poor. But Krishna and Sudama nurtured deep love and devotion for each other. Even in this Kaliyug, taking the name of God reverentially rids man of all his sins and the path of truth opens up before him for him to tread on. Today, we are in the Kaliyug and friendship is deceptive.”

Monday’s hosts included Bihari Lal Sharma, Chandi Prasad Nagelia, Omprakash Bankrewal, Gopal Moonka, Ramavtar Agarwal and Prasad hosts Kamal Agarwal, Vijay Agarwal and Ajay Gupta.

Suresh Agiwal, Kunjbihari Nagelia, Ashok Naredi, Ashok Sanghi, Basudev Nagelia, Suresh Sonthalia, Santosh Sanghi, Subhash Moonka, Satyanaran Naredi, Shyam Sundar Sonthalia, Basudev Modi, Kamal Agiwal, Mahavir Nagelia, Hari Agiwal, Babulal Sonthalia, Satyanarayan Naredi and Murarilal Nagelia contributed significantly for the success of this seven-day Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagna.
