Jamshedpur flood water cause heavy damage at Webcam warehouse in Jugsalai

Jamshedpur, August 22: Heavy damages caused by overflowing waters of the Kharkai and Swarnrekha rivers continue to be reported especially from houses and establishments along the low lying banks of the twin rivers.

Flood waters entered the warehouse of Webcam Enterprises at Khatu Shyamnagar along Shiv Ghat Road in Jugsalai. Webcam Enterprises owner Amritpal Singh, a resident of Naya Bazaar Road in Jugsalai, is a distributor of Amul products.

Amritpal Singh on being informed about flood water seeping in to his warehouse rushed to the spot along with his employees where he found that most of his stocks had been damaged. The stock of goods and products were under five feet of water. The incident happened on Saturday. Amritpal brought in a water pump to remove the accumulated water from his warehouse.

The Webcam Enterprises owner stated that stocks worth Rs 32 lakh had been damaged by the flood waters entering the warehouse. It may be mentioned that Mangotia Constructions’ warehouse in Jugsalai too was the scene of damage caused by flood waters.
