TechEx-2024 at SNTI: 41 exhibits showcasing solutions to steel and other industries’ problems

Jamshedpur, March 2: The 14th Technical Exhibition, TechEx-2024, was inaugurated at the Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI) on the eve of 185th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

T V Narendran, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Steel inaugurated the exhibition being organised by Learning & Development, Tata Steel.

TechEx-2024 showcases a remarkable collection of 41 projects from across India, spanning contributions from industry giants and premier academic institutions including IITs and NITs. This vibrant exhibition stands as a testament to the ingenuity and forward-thinking that characterizes the nation`s approach to pivotal sectors such as Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure, Sustainable consumption & production, and Clean Energy. The projects on display offer ground-breaking solutions to long-standing challenges faced by the Steel Industry and aim to enhance employee safety.

Trainees and employees of Tata Steel, along with participants from other organizations and premier academic institutions will be exhibiting these exciting projects which are aligned with the Founder’s Day theme of “Technology for people & planet”.

The exhibition will span over four days, from February 2 to February 5. This will be open for public between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Beyond the exhibition floor, TechEx offers a plethora of engaging activities designed to captivate visitors of all ages, including face painting, Just-A-Minute (JAM) sessions, Ad-Mad, quizzes, and talent hunts, with the allure of exciting prizes to be won.

TechEx is a platform for the trainees to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities to a diverse audience, including senior most leadership members of TSL and other organisations, academicians, fellow students, and citizens of Jamshedpur. They have been working in teams to develop their projects under the guidance of functional experts from business and the Learning & Development department.

TechEx will also provide an opportunity to the visitors to get an insight on the advancements in technology. People are invited to visit the TechEx arena at SNTI campus and motivate the young trainees.
