Jamshedpur, Sept 5: Students of D El Ed and B Ed organized a cultural bouquet to honour faculty members of Srinath College of Education on the occasion of Teachers’ Day celebrations. The welcome song rendered by Priya Gupta and a solo dance recital by Priti Kumari set the vibrant tone for the cultural bonanza that greeted the faculty members as expression of the students’ respect, appreciation and love towards their teachers and mentors.

The Chairman of the Institution, Sukhdev Mahto in his address to the students observed, “Teachers are spiritual guides who bestow their students with abundance of knowledge and share their experiences to inculcate the ingredients of purposeful living while on the path of achieving goals.”

The Secretary, Gurudev Mahto congratulated the teachers for inspiring and nurturing students to marching ahead while treading the correct path. “To be an ideal teacher, one needs to be sincere, knowledgeable and practical. Only then can a teacher discharge the functions effectively. Just having a degree is not a credential to being a proper teacher. One must know the subject like the back of the palm and be patient and persevering in attitude while imparting education,” stated Gurudev Mahto.

HoD Dr Monika Uppal appreciated the faculty members for their constant endeavor to take Srinath College to greater heights by turning out accomplished students who take on the challenges of pursuing careers with confidence and elan.

The management and students of Srinath College of Education presented gifts to the faculty members on the occasion. The vote of thanks was offered by Vinita Kumari a student of B Ed.
