Tatanagar: Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express to run on diverted route

Train services affected due to developmental work in Adra Division

Jamshedpur, Dec 4: The South Eastern Railway has announced the regulation of several train services due to developmental works in the Adra Division on 6th and 7th December 2024. The adjustments include cancellations, short terminations, and diversions, impacting various trains across the region.

Several trains have been cancelled to accommodate the ongoing developmental works.

These include the 13504/13503 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman MEMU Express, the 08641/08642 Adra-Barkakana-Adra MEMU, and the 03597/03598 Ranchi-Asansol-Ranchi MEMU, all scheduled for 6th and 7th December. The 08695/08696 Bokaro Steel City-Ranchi-Bokaro Steel City Passenger and 18085/18086 Kharagpur-Ranchi-Kharagpur MEMU Express have also been cancelled for the same dates.

In addition to cancellations, some trains will be short-terminated or short-originated. The 18035 Kharagpur-Hatia Express will terminate at Adra, and its return service, the 18036 Hatia-Kharagpur Express, will originate from Adra, effectively cancelling their operation between Adra and Hatia on 6th and 7th December.

Several train routes have been diverted to ensure smooth operations. The 20898/20897 Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express and the 22891/22892 Howrah-Ranchi Express will be diverted via Muri-Gunda Bihar-Chandil on the affected dates. The 18602/18601 Hatia-Tatanagar Express and 13320 Ranchi-Dumka Express will also run on alternate routes, bypassing their usual paths. Other trains such as the 12366 Ranchi-Patna Jan Shatabdi Express and the 12020 Ranchi-Howrah Shatabdi Express will be rerouted through Muri-Barkakana-Chandrapura.

Long-distance trains have not been spared. The 13351 Dhanbad-Alappuzha Express and 12818 Anand Vihar-Hatia Express are among those being diverted through Chandrapura-Barkakana-Muri. Additionally, the 18603 Ranchi-Godda Express and 12365 Patna-Ranchi Express will follow alternative paths on the specified dates.
