Jamshedpur, August 31: Passengers of the Jhargram-Purulia MEMU train staged a protest at Govindpur railway halt, adjacent to Tatanagar station. The daily wage laborers who rely on this train for commuting to Jamshedpur and Adityapur have been facing severe disruptions due to delays. The train, which is scheduled to arrive at 6:30 am, has been consistently arriving between 8 and 9 am for the past six months, causing passengers to miss their work.

The protest attracted attention from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who attempted to calm the situation. Local councilor Dr. Paritosh Singh, BJP ST Morcha Mandal President Ajay Kumar, and other social workers also arrived to support the passengers and assure them that their concerns would be addressed. Despite their efforts, the passengers remained agitated and insisted on immediate resolution to the issue.
